About the role:
A great opportunity currently exists for an intelligent, dynamic and commercially focused Junior Corporate lawyer to work in our Hong Kong office on projects which span across Hong Kong, China and other parts of Asia. If you're over IPO's, this is the role for you!
Assisting partners Fred Kinmonth and Lis Ellis you will be in good hands - as they are not only experts in their field, they are committed to sharing this knowledge with their team to ensure that you get the most from your career. You will receive regular feedback and get to work on complex and challenging corporate deals.
Two examples of major projects that the team has worked on include:
1) Advising Chase Asia Equity Partners on their private equity investment in New World PCS Holdings Limited (at the time the largest private equity investment in Hong Kong), and subsequently advised New World PCS Holdings Limited in relation to the unwinding of the investment.
2) Advising on major entertainment projects such as Las Vegas Sands Inc regarding their developments in Cotai, Macau.
Opportunities also exist to work across the broader corporate practice, including TMT. This role does not practice IPOs.
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate will have 1 - 2 years post qualifications experience in the areas of M&As and Private Equity. Fluent English skills are essential. We will consider lawyers from all common law jurisdictions.
